Terms and Conditions

Trendex is a futures exchange for virality. Users take long or short positions on a Virality Index that tracks how viral a creator, influencer or meme is over time.

Every account is funded with platform credits. Those credits are not money, are not redeemable, have no cash value, and cannot be withdrawn, transferred or exchanged for anything. There is no payment processor, no crypto wallet and no fiat on-ramp anywhere in the service. You cannot deposit funds and you cannot withdraw them.

• It is not a securities exchange, a futures commission merchant, a broker, a dealer, or any other regulated financial intermediary, and it is not registered as one.
• It is not financial, investment, legal or tax advice, and nothing on it is a recommendation to do anything.
• It is not gambling for money. No stake is paid in and no prize is paid out.
• Positions, balances, profit and loss shown in the interface are the result of a simulation. They do not represent money you have, money you owe, or any claim against us or anyone else.

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to influence a market or to work around limits is a breach of these terms.
• You are responsible for keeping your password and session secure, and for everything done through your account.
• You must give an email address you control. We may close accounts that do not.

Use of the service is subject to the System Policies, which form part of these terms. In short: do not manipulate markets, do not coordinate with other accounts to move a price, do not scrape or hammer the API, and do not attempt to break, probe or degrade the service.

Subjects are public figures, creators and memes, tracked only through public metrics from public sources. Being listed is not an endorsement by, affiliation with, or relationship of any kind with the person or thing listed.

Any subject can be delisted. When a subject is delisted no new contracts are created on it and open interest is force-settled at the last valid mark. We may delist at our discretion, including at the request of the person concerned.

The service is provided as-is and may be unavailable, interrupted, changed or withdrawn at any time without notice. Because balances are not money, we may reset credits, adjust markets, correct erroneous fills, re-run settlement, or wipe and reseed data, including in ways that change your position or balance.

The index methodology is versioned. Changing a weight creates a new index version and does not rewrite values already computed under an older one, but future values may move for reasons unrelated to the underlying subject.

The service, its interface, and its index methodology are owned by the operator named in the Legal Notice. Names, marks and likenesses of listed subjects belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify what a market tracks.

The service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that index values, marks, settlement prices or any other output are accurate, complete, timely or fit for any purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Because the service involves no money and no redeemable value, any direct liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid to use it, which is zero, or the minimum permitted by applicable law.

We may suspend or close any account at any time, with or without notice, including for breach of these terms or the System Policies. You may stop using the service at any time and may request closure of your account, subject to the record-keeping limits described in the Data Privacy page.

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page changes when we do. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Governing law not set, without regard to conflict of law rules.
